Dr. Brian Benitz’s and Dr. Jacqueline Donahue’s journey into optometry is rooted in an enduring passion for offering exceptional care to the Reno community. Having recognized a need for a higher level of service in the region, they established NVision Optix with a shared vision to combine their expertise and deliver truly personalized, high-tech care. The decision to establish a luxury practice in this community stems from their deep connection to the area and commitment to improving the lives of those they serve.

With over 40 years of combined experience in eye care, Dr. Brian Benitz and Dr. Jacqueline Donahue are proud to offer a newly defined standard of care to Northern Nevada.
Dr. Jacqueline Donahue
Dr. Jacqueline Donahue has been advancing innovative eye care in Nevada since 2008. A Michigan native and former collegiate athlete, Dr. Donahue earned her undergraduate degree in business chemistry in Pennsylvania before obtaining her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. With a family legacy in eye care, Dr. Donahue is deeply dedicated to providing exceptional patient experiences.
Dr. Brian Benitz
Dr. Brian Benitz has been a leader in eye care in Nevada since 2001. Originally from Iowa, Dr. Benitz earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Iowa State University before completing his Doctorate of Optometry at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. Along with Dr. Donahue, Dr. Benitz is setting a new benchmark for excellence in eye care in Northern Nevada. He is Board Certified in the treatment and management of ocular diseases.
Christopher Profera
With over 12 years of experience as an optician, Christopher Profera completed the National Academy of Opticianry Career Progression Program and earned ABO certification in 2018. A Reno resident for 19 years, Christopher has worked in leading optometry offices in the area, witnessing firsthand the shifts in the healthcare landscape. Discouraged by the diminishing focus on patient care, he found renewed purpose in joining NVision Optix, drawn by Dr. Donahue’s shared dedication to patient-first values.
Pixie Tyburczy
Pixie has been an Optician since 2013, beginning her career at the famed Modern Eye optometry office in Philadelphia, PA. Her background as a former vintage store owner made for a seamless transition into high-end frames and fittings. She relocated to Reno with her husband in 2022 and quickly immersed herself in the Northern Nevada eye care industry.
